M-Edge FlexStand Kindle DX Bookstand
I use my Kindle DX a lot and purchased the flexstand to add to my comfort of using the Kindle. After trying to use the flexstand and not succeeding I realized that it is meant to be used only on the Kindle WITHOUT the protective cover. When I purchased the Kindle in July, 2009, I purchased a good cover . I always keep the Kindle in it’s cover. It is way too difficult to keep taking the cover on and off. I have been in touch with M-Edge and they told me to return it for a refund. So far, I am waiting for the refund. It will have cost me about $10. for the purchase (for postage) as well as the time involved.

This product exceeded my expectations. It does exactly what I needed it to do – hold the Kindle so I can read my downloaded newspaper at the breakfast table. What exceeded my expectations is both how absolutely easy it is to use, both to put on and take off, and the multiple positions the stand can assume. I did not expect the flexability.

Not very useful as a table stand — doesn’t provide any real support except in narrow range of angles. And to try to use it as a handle to hold while you read is no good either. Its best value is as a decorative piece of sculpture.

I have to admit I was skeptical when ordering the FlexStand, but I’ve changed my mind – I love it! It is very easy to attach and remove from the Kindle DX. The rubber feet fit comfortably over the 4 corners and don’t scratch the Kindle. The flexible legs are simple to adjust or fold down for storage. It’s perfect for reading in bed or anywhere else. Excellent customer service – my bookstand arrived in only a few days.

I have tried several devices that were supposed to hold my Kindle DX in place so I could read it hands free. Each one seemed to fall short of what I wanted and in fact didn’t work well at all. I purchased the Flexstand on a bit of a whim and perhaps hoping that this would be it. Well I was not disappointed and I find it ever so easy to use and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stand that lets them eat a slice of Pepperoni Pizza with both hands while completing a copy of War and Peace.
